Utah vs. Air Force Football Game

Matt and I LOVE college football!! It's absolutely one of the things we most look forward to every Fall. Football season is one of our favorite seasons! The rivalries and the excitement are just intoxicating! And can you guess which team we're the biggest fans of? You got it!! The UNIVERSITY OF UTAH UTES!!

Through some connections of his through work, Matt was able to get awesome tickets this year for the Utah vs. Air Force game on October 24, 2009. We really enjoy going to that game for a couple of reasons: It's usually a good game between the 2 teams.....and we LOVE watching the Air Force jets fly over the stadium before the game!!

We had TONS of fun at the game together! And, yes, the UTES did win! It was a tight game for awhile, but the UTES finally took the win in overtime at 23-16!! GO UTES!!

We were even lucky enough to have a visit from out Beloved Prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. He was honored and given some kind of award. (I don't remember what it was for.)

'The Box' overlooks the field. I've been up there for other things, such as dinner, etc. It's really nice! But, somehow, I just don't think it would be quite the same watching the game up their versus actually being down on the field watching the game!! :)

Last night's BCS Sugar Bowl Game against Alabama was AWESOME!! From the moment Utah stepped on the field, they dominated and never let up, scoring 3 touchdowns in the first quarter!! The TIDE didn't even know what hit 'em down in New Orleans! It was a beautiful sight to see! There was no crying over this game on my part...............but a lot of screaming and celebrating! The TIDE were the ones looking pretty defeated and worried the entire game. It almost made me feel bad for them................but not that bad!! It was great to hear the commentators eating a lot of crow last night, too. No one really thought that UTAH would crush the TIDE so completely................except those of us who believed, of course!
And now look at us................BEST IN THE NATION! The ONLY undefeated college team left standing in the end!! Like I said..................VICTORY IS SWEET!!

So the Utes finished off their season 12-0, which we are very happy and proud of. We've been anxiously waiting to see which BCS Bowl they are going to play in on New Year's Eve, and they finally made the announcement last night.

By the way..........also an update. For those who didn't already know.........Utah did win the big game and we are now just waiting to find out which bowl game we are going to play in! Go UTES!!

OK.................So today is the big Utah vs. BYU game at 4:00 p.m. I CAN'T WAIT!! I'm so excited!! Utah has done so well this season.................a perfect season thus far again! Let's keep it going!! I LOVE football season!! I'm afraid I might actually cry if Utah loses for some reason.......................LOL

I love Football Season................

So most of our friends already know................but Matt and I are totally 100% University of Utah fans!! We are excited to say that so far this season the Utes are 4-0, and we haven't missed a game yet! Can we keep it up? We've had a perfect season before in the past....................can we pull it off again? We'll see! Stay tuned for more updates!

We Won! We Won!

So.............Matt did get to play his first softball game tonight. It was FREEZING COLD and even snowed on us while they were playing....................but it was still fun. The guys started out trailing the other team by a few points throughout the whole game..................until the last few minutes. They managed to pull ahead and beat the other team! They were pretty happy..........as you can imagine!

Bummer!

So we're a little bummed today.................we were supposed to start playing softball but the weather here in Utah was not cooperating!! Yesterday was absolutely beautiful outside and was about 70 degrees. But today we've dropped back down to about 40 degrees and are actually getting some more snow! Needless to say, our game was canceled. It's APRIL!! Give us a break! I'm so done with the snow this winter............I need SUNSHINE and warmth!!

Anyway, Matt and I are now playing softball on Tueday and Wednesday nights from now until about the middle of June. My work is playing on Tuesdays and Matt's work is playing on Wednesdays. My work is co-ed so Matt gets to play with me................his isn't co-ed so I get to go and watch and cheer him and the guys on. I enjoy it...............we're looking forward to it. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate tomorrow and he'll actually get to play his first game! We'll see.......................
