Email Letter from Paul Cardall

So I just got this 'thank you' email that went out to everyone who purchased tickets to the show last night. I think this shows what an incredible man Paul Cardall is to take the time to send this out and thank everyone in spite of not feeling very well and having a lot on his plate to deal with right now.

Dear friends,
Words cannot adequately express our sincere appreciation to all of you for joining with us to celebrate life and living for Eden. Our family experienced a feeling of love that we will cherish for a very long time. You are wonderful and we will never forget your kindness, love, and support. We are optimistic about my future! My doctors at Primary Children’s Medical Center Angela Yetman, Melanie Everitt, their staff and surgeons are gifted and skilled professionals whose wisdom is blessing our community, particularly those who are born with congenital heart disease. And whether things go as we hope or not – one thing I do know is that every day we have to enjoy this life should be celebrated. It is a gift from our Heavenly Father. And as the Louie Armstrong song goes, "It’s a beautiful world" and I look forward to each new day. Finally, a special thank you to all of the musicians, production, ushers, volunteers, family, friends, and the two people who pulled their resources together to do this event. My good friend and former business partner Jeremy Baron of the Baron Music Group and my dear sister Carol Burgoyne who is not only one of my best friends but one of the most talented organizers I know. Thank you everyone.

We love you!

Paul Cardall

P.S. If you took any photos - send them to us so we can put them on the blog. http://mytricuspidatresia.blogspot.com

Plea for the Cardall Family

Last night Matt and I had the pleasure of attending the sold out Living for Eden Show at Cottonwood High School that was put on in honor of the Paul Cardall Family. What an amazingly uplifting, inspiring, and altogether very enjoyable show! Such great talent in these amazing men who all performed! We thoroughly enjoyed it!!
My heart was greatly touched as I sat in that auditorium last night and watched those 3,000 seats fill up to capacity.......................so many people all wanting to help such a wonderful family in such great need right now! As Paul Cardall came into the auditorium with his family shortly before the show began, I watched several people approach him and offer him money and kind words. Then as I enjoyed the show along with everyone else, you could see the love, friendship, respect, and admiration that these talented musicians had for each other and for the Cardall Family.
I would ask that each of you remember the Cardall Family in your prayers each day, as Paul Cardall has been waiting for a heart transplant for about 8 months now. Pray that he will be able to receive what he needs, and that his family will be blessed with the love, comfort, and peace that they need right now. I know that I will be personally praying for them, and that I will be following their story. Paul Cardall also has a blog as well, which he uses to document and share his personal experiences, etc. If you're interested, here's the blog address:
Again, what an amazing and inspiring family! I found myself holding on to Matt just a little tighter and wanting to savor every moment that I have with him. You just never know what surprises life is going to bring you. Cherish and savor every moment so that there are no regrets in the end!

Benefit Concert

So one of my very BEST friends (love ya, Chrisy!) sent me an email yesterday about a benefit concert for Paul Cardall and his family. I was very excited when I read the email and saw the website for the concert.

If you're LDS and from Utah, you most likely will know who Peter Breinholt, Ryan Shupe & the Rubber Band, Paul Cardall, Colors, and Kurt Bestor are. Matt and I are big fans of all of these guys, so I was pretty excited to find out that they are doing a benefit concert on Monday night at Cottonwood High School for Paul Cardall and his family!

Here's a link to the website page with all of the details of the concert and why they are coming together that night to do a special concert:

Living for Eden
Matt and I have bought our tickets and will be there on Monday night, enjoying the show! I'm happy that the money I've paid for the tickets will help out the Cardall family in this trying time!

Chihuahua

Is there anyone out there who might be looking for a dog as a family pet? If so, I know of a little 4 year old Chihuahua who is in need of a good home! If anyone is interested or knows of someone who might be interested, get in contact with me and I'll get you some more information about the dog.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Spiderman

So we, as a Relief Society Presidency, like to go out on visits every week to try and catch some of the sisters at home and visit with them to find out how they and their families are doing. It just helps us to stay in touch with the sisters in the Ward better. Tina, our R.S. President, goes out every week and then Dani, Michelle, and I all take turns going out with her each week. This week was my turn. I was enjoyable to get to visit with a couple of the sisters in the ward......

Anyway, after visits we went back to Tina's house for our R.S. Presidency Meeting. As the meeting was drawing to a close, Tina told us about some relatives of theirs who are really struggling right now and told us of a website they've created as a result. I thought I would post that website on my blog to help promote and get the word out. If anyone is looking for someone to help out this season as the Holidays get closer................maybe this family is someone we can keep in our prayers and find ways to help out. Here's the website:
