Marriott Grande Vista - Orlando

In continuation of our Florida trip in January.......

After spending all day on Tuesday in Epcot and then all day on Wednesday in the Magic Kingdom, we pretty much just spent the day on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the condo relaxing and doing a good bit of nothing. Carolyn (Matt's Mom), Matt, and I went for a walk around the condo property that we were staying at, which was Marriott's Grande Vista property in Orlando, Florida. It was GORGEOUS!!

If you remember from my earlier post back in January, we originally were going to stay at the Parkway International Resort in Kissimmee, Florida, but it was awful! Thank goodness we were able to get it changed and actually ended up staying where we originally wanted to stay in the first place!

Anyway, as we were walking around the Grande Vista property I, of course, brought my camera and snapped some pictures of it. Beautiful! Here are the pictures:

This first picture is of the Office/Club House where you go to check in, etc.

The property is centered around a lake....all of the condo buildings are placed around the lake. This picture was taken from the Office/Club House side of the lake, looking across. Our condo was not very far from the Office/Club House.

At this point, we had walked around the lake and were on the other side. You can see the Office/Club House across the lake from where we were.

There were also paddle boats that you could rent and take out on the lake as well. Keep in mind that it really wasn't very warm at all when we were there. In fact, my cousin said that night at dinner that this is one of the coldest seasons he can remember them ever having. It was actually pretty cold while we there....and it's a wet cold that goes to the bone because of the humidity. As a result, Matt and I didn't take any of the paddle boats out, but we would have liked to had it been warmer.

That first night that we were in Orlando (Sunday night) and we went to dinner with my Aunt Linn, Uncle Lorenzo, and our friends, Phil & Mailynn (which I posted about earlier, too)....This is where we went to dinner: Nick's Grill. It was seriously right near our condo....we could walk to it. It was part of the Marriott Grande Vista property.

And that was where we stayed! We enjoyed it very much and would absolutely stay there again in the future! :)
