So I am quite excited to FINALLY be able to say that we are now officially DONE with our online 'paperwork' and website information with LDS Family Services. We pretty much spent the majority of the afternoon yesterday after church just filling out the last of it and getting it done! I'm super excited to be so close to our approval now!
The next step will be to get the website information all approved so that we can go 'live' with it and have it posted on the internet for prospective birthparents to view in hopes of someone choosing us to be the parents of their child in the near future. This website is what the birthparents will see as they are searching through couples to find the right one for their baby. It tells all about us and includes a photo album of pictures of us for them to see. I can't wait to get the approval and see it 'live'. When it goes 'live', I will post a link to it here so that you all can see it as well. I've also included a link to this blog on that website.
We've also just finally received the last of all of the legal documents in the mail that we needed as well. The only thing left for us to do is to get our physicals............which I'm hoping to do really soon. We're just waiting for the new insurance to start with Matt's work, since we are changing from the one we currently have.
I've been pretty scared and worried about a lot of things, which I've expressed in previous blog entries (hey, it's what I do! LOL) in the past..............but the closer we get to our approval, the more excited I get! We're really getting there!
On another note.........we also got a call from someone at Utah Foster Care last week while I was working and he left us a message. He called to followup with us from the Forum we went to a month or so ago. I called him back and we have an appointment with him tomorrow night as well. He's coming out to our house to talk with us about it further, answer any questions we might have, and to followup on what happens next. I'm also really looking forward to our meeting with him as well.
The ball is definitely rolling! We'll continue to keep everyone posted. We love you all and really appreciate everyone's love and support in this endeavor!
